Enjoy an introduction to a relatively new growing platform, grow bags, for both home gardeners and commercial growers. Jim Hankins, the Executive Director of the Fauquier Education Farm for the past 10 years, will cover what to grow in them, situations where they can be useful, best soil to fill them with, where they can be purchased and how to irrigate them. The Ed Farm is currently using grow bags for planting, growing and harvesting fresh vegetables as part of the 100,000 plus pounds of vegetables donated to local food banks.
