Pollination is critically important for our ecosystem and agriculture. Learn how you can support pollinators such as bees, butterflies and other insects and birds and see how beautiful native plants can be in our demonstration gardens. Master Gardeners Alice Shelman and Polly Spencer will be on hand to talk about our butterfly and native plant gardens. Master Gardener Rich Umbel will discuss native bees and how to attract them to your property.
Class starts at 1 p.m. and will last one hour including a short question and answer period. The seminar is free of charge and open to the public. Registration is requested. The program is held outdoors and will be cancelled in case of rain. A few seats will be provided, but attendees may bring their own lawn chairs.
Parking is limited at #18 Schoolhouse. Participants are encouraged to park at Northern Fauquier Community Park and walk to the Schoolhouse. Additional parking is available along Whitting Road. Please do not park along John Marshall Highway.
