Plein Air

Welcoming all artists of all ages and levels to enjoy a day of drawing and painting in the garden.  Toni Bragg, local award- winning artist will speak on the topic of plein air and then participants will create their own masterpieces with inspiration from the beautiful gardens.  Participants are encouraged to bring a chair and their own supplies.  We will have a limited supply of pencils, watercolors, markers, and colored pencils. Stay on to learn the history of the schoolhouse at the monthly open house from 1:00 – 3:00pm.

Class starts at 1 p.m. and will last one hour including a short question and answer period.  The seminar is free of charge and open to the public. Registration is requested. The program is held outdoors and will be cancelled in case of rain. A few seats will be provided, but attendees may bring their own lawn chairs.

Parking is limited at #18 Schoolhouse. Participants are encouraged to park at Northern Fauquier Community Park and walk to the Schoolhouse. Additional parking is available along Whitting Road. Please do not park along John Marshall Highway.
