Rappahannock County Park

Collection: At Rappahannock County Park, volunteers have planted two pollinator gardens, hundreds of blue bells along the river trail and over 150 native trees and shrubs. The collections aim to share information on native ecosystems and how native plantings can be beautiful.

History: Work began in 2018 to remove invasive vines and trees, replacing them with native trees and shrubs. Work was done under the leadership of Rappahannock County Recreational Facilities Authority with many community partners.

Additional Information: Walking trails make much of the 7.3 acre park, visitors are welcome to explore daily from dawn to dusk.
