With their musical voices, bright colors, and gentle personalities, Bluebirds are a welcome addition to landscapes and yards of all types. Valerie Kenyon Gaffney, President, Virginia Bluebird Society (also a Prince William County Master Gardener) will give a one hour presentation on the lifecycle of the Bluebird, what led to their decline in population, and what role we can play in supporting them and attracting them to our backyards. She will also address what we can continue to do to protect all native secondary cavity nesters, with an emphasis on the use of native plants. Held at the Virginia Cooperative Extension Office, 24 Pelham St, Warrenton, VA. This event is free and open to the public. There will be a Zoom option for those who cannot attend in person.
