Extension Agent Tim Ohlwiler will discuss how to improve the health and fertility of your soil. We will cover the basics of soil testing, adding compost, fertilizer, lime and other soil amendments. We will discuss benefits of organic matter in soil and how to increase organic content in the soil. Following the talk, we will be giving away extra plants that we have grown or divided and seeds that we have harvested – all free to the public. Stay on to learn the history of the schoolhouse at the monthly open house from 1:00 – 3:00 PM.

Parking is limited at #18 Schoolhouse. Additional parking is available at the Northern Fauquier Community Park or along Whiting Road.  Please do not park along Highway 55.
